The Dark Knight is a contemporary superhero film, with a lot of profundity. Heath Ledger is the main character in this movie as Batman’s archival The Joker. For this acting performance, Ledger received an Oscar. The way he challenges Christian Bale’s Batman / Bruce Wayne, is very enjoyable and this gives the movie a lot of depth which is quite often lacking in contemporary superhero films (and in most Netflix action films).
